Poblanito

This mezcal cocktail is called “Poblanito” because it is inspired by the state of Puebla, Mexico. Puebla is one of the most populated states in the country and has been the scene of important pre-Hispanic cultures.

Ingredients

  • 1¼ oz mezcal
  • ¼ pc. poblano chili
  • 1¼ oz agave honey
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • Poblano chili slice
  • worm salt
  • Salt
  • Ice

Elaboration

  • Macerate poblano chili with lemon juice.
  • Strain the macerated ingredients into a mixing glass, add 6 ice cubes, agave honey and mezcal.
  • Shake vigorously.
  • Frost a glass, half with salt and the other with worm salt, and pour the mixture.
  • Decorate with a slice of poblano chile.

Tip: To prepare it, shake all the ingredients in a shaker for 20 seconds and serve in a glass.
